NATUREWALK works with the the government of Costa Rica to advance sustainable forestry in Costa Rica. We work to improve the effectiveness of sustainable forestry in conserving biodiversity and providing equity for local communities, fair treatment to workers, and creating incentives for businesses so that they can benefit economically from responsible forestry practices.
There is a worldwide movement towards sustainability and social responsibility. People now require goods and services proven to be kind to nature, good for the environment and socially responsible. Refrigerators and aerosols friendly to the ozone layer. Agricultural goods from "organic"sources. Cosmetic and medicines from "natural shops", cars that minimize the emission of harmful gasses into the atmosphere and wood products from responsibly managed forests.
NATUREWALK'S ecological platform includes the planting of new trees for each lot sold, ecological easements that protect 50% of the project to always be treed, advanced bio-remediation of sanitary waste and conservation practices onsite.
